Meet Zeki! In June 2016 Carol Anderson came across Zeki. A Turkish friend of Carol’s neighbour had found Zeki in her hairdresser’s. They thought that he had had glue poured over him, as his eyes and mouth were so ‘stuck up’ with bloody pus. This beautiful puppy was found by Remzi Ozdemir and his wife at Kirazli while going for breakfast. She was with several other puppies out on a hillside. Remzi thinks she might have had a bad fall. This kind couple brought her to town for treatment. X-rays showed a very nasty break on her left rear leg, requiring surgery. ANIMAL TRAVEL TO EU COUNTRIES
Animal travel to EU countries procedures: Must be micro-chipped. Chipping date must be prior to rabies immunization date. Rabies immunization. Some vets prefer to do 2 shots 2 weeks apart, to increase the chances of getting the desired result from the following blood test. 30 days after the first rabies immunization, a blood sample MUST be taken from the animal, to be sent to a government lab in Ankara. – Results come back to the[…]
